Code3 and Meta Partner to Provide Marketing for Small Businesses

Written by Carrie Cabral | Aug 25, 2022 3:00:00 PM

Small businesses are more important than ever before. With the ever-changing economic landscape, shop-small initiatives, and continued interest in entrepreneurship, small businesses are one of the most integral parts of life and our economy.

That’s why Code3 teamed up with Meta to pilot a program for small to medium-sized businesses with the goal of helping them grow their presence on the platform – and positioning them to be able to market themselves once the partnership ends.

Read more about this fantastic partnership and how we’re serving small businesses and communities.

The Small Business Program

Think about it: small businesses define neighborhoods. They create jobs. And they provide options for people looking for all kinds of products and ways to shop. Small businesses also provide options for people to support themselves and their communities.

According to the U.S. Small Business Association (SBA), small businesses of 500 employees or fewer make up 99.9% of all U.S. businesses and 99.7% of businesses with paid employees. A 2019 SBA report found that small businesses accounted for 44% of U.S. economic activity

Additionally, 18.3% of US small businesses are minority-owned and 19.9% are woman-owned as of 2021.

All big businesses were once small businesses, and this partnership aims to help these businesses scale their marketing efforts and succeed with marketing on the platform even after the partnership ends. Code3’s aim is to help these businesses compete in their market and take control of their growth.

About the Program

The goal of the program is to help small businesses grow on our platform through world-class partner solutions. We’re in the business of growing businesses — and we do that at scale through our trusted partners.

So far, The businesses span across categories and verticals including health and wellness, beauty, hair and skin care, publishing, food and beverage, retail, home goods, financial services, and technology.

A majority of the businesses are women or minority-owned. To date, we’ve partnered with 26 SMB’s with the goal of scaling to 40 businesses.

Each week, the Code3 Media and Creative teams meet with 2-3 businesses for a kickoff call, where we learn more about each business’s goals and provide them with a ‘social playbook’ of platform-specific best practices, guidance on filling out a brief, and examples of best-in-class social creative within their respective verticals. From there, we build out a robust media plan and begin executing unique social ads based on each brief.

Thus far, we’ve delivered over 130 paid social video ads across Facebook and Instagram, and have seen strong results across SMBs. One of our businesses saw their cost per link click improve by nearly 2x during the campaign, improving from $0.81 to $0.46.

The SMBs participating feel supported and are utilizing Coed3's expertise:

"I feel you all have expertly crafted assets that will help my brand visibility and awareness. I am extremely grateful and excited for this campaign to go live."

"Unlike my previous experience with a different company, you guys listened to me, used my media, followed my business message! Thank you!!"

"Thanks to you and all the minds behind this project. I’m incredibly appreciative and look forward to learnings(and earnings ☺️)!"
