Code3 identified a connection between Arcade1Up and the Season 4 series that played upon the element of retro nostalgia and “old-school arcade games” shared across the 2 properties. Across paid and organic social ads, we heroed the A1U retro arcades that are featured in the show, enabling the brand to build on the cultural momentum and join the conversation, resulting in better brand relevance and connections with their audience.
Code3 was tasked to raise brand awareness and drive engagement by encouraging fans to learn more about the retro arcades featured on the show, and sign up for the chance to win via the A1U Stranger Things sweepstakes.

To take advantage of Arcade1Up’s brand alignment with the Netflix series “Stranger Things”, we created a campaign during the Season 4 premiere to raise brand awareness and encourage fans to engage with Arcade1Up via the retro arcades featured on the show: Pac-Man, Galaga, and Star Wars Pinball.
Leveraging popular visual treatments and themes from the Netflix hit, we created a customized look-and-feel for the campaign that laddered up to the Arcade1Up brand. We developed a variety of creatives for the campaign, driving audience interaction and creating buzz that culminated in an exclusive giveaway and record engagement.
